It is a little wack just redoing Mario games. That's why I tried to add some humorous flair to some of the Mario movies I've made. Of course, I just say "tried," haha.

Mario and the goomba are extremely small for that screen. That, and I don't remember the first game being turn-based. Why is there such a sudden change?

Also, I disagree that making something Mario-related is a bad idea. Sure, there's a lot of Mario stuff on this site, but if it can be pulled off well, what does it matter that there are any others? ...It COULD be more original artwork, though. Perhaps you could draw your own Mario instead of tracing over the Paper Mario one? Don't take this to offense. I've done it before, too =)

However, like Kenney said, if you DID have some creative characters, you could get a sponsor for your game. I wouldn't imagine that making turn-based games is very easy. You could make some dough.

i have an idea for a character zario he was my idea when i was 5 but i named my user after him not after my username plz use him he is a traitor like dementio
he has same attacks as mario but much more powerful then turns into negative-zario i made a practice sprite curently but i need a sprite sheet link it if u want me to make him(either of mario or luigi or both paper)

Yoiu're right when you say you need Mario so people will play it. When I make something Mario realted it gets many more hits, sometimes 1000 times as many, as when I make something original. It's too bad that's how the interent works, nobody wants anything new.
